Babson’s Business Analytics STEM Concentration

Set yourself up for a successful career in finance, professional services, technology, and beyond. You’ll draw from your MBA Business Analytics concentration experience as you leverage data and models to make informed decisions and lead operational improvements based on thoughtful analysis. Explore how methods apply to different aspects of business with core classes in economics and optimization, and electives in topics like marketing and healthcare.

As a participant in a STEM designated program, you may be eligible for36 months of OPTvs. 12 months for students in non-STEM degree programs.

Business Analytics STEM Curriculum

The MBAbusiness analytics concentrationconsists of 12 credits with coursework that is primarily technical, and a focus on programming in Python as well as other analytics tools. Your coursework is made up of three core classes that you select from a list of five options, plus one elective from the list of approved electives. Class offerings change and new classes are added regularly; all courses may not be listed here.

Choose at least three from the following list*:

  • MIS6300 Programming for Business Analytics (3 credits)
  • ECN6300 Modern Econometrics for Business* (3 credits)
  • ECN7520 Economic and Financial Forecasting* (3 credits)
